Credelio is a newly formulated oral flea and tick treatment for dogs and puppies. It not only treats but effectively controls future parasite infestations. This oral chewable treatment comes in a palatable beef flavor, which makes it very easy to dose the dog. The chew is capable of eliminating various tick types including lone star ticks, American dog ticks, brown dog ticks, and black-legged ticks. Moreover, it provides protection from future infestations for approximately one month.
How It Works
The active ingredient present in Credelio is known as Lotilaner. This anti-parasitic drug eliminates existing fleas and ticks found on the surfaces of a dog’s body. The ingredient blocks the transfer of chloride ions from seeping through to the cell membranes. It causes uncontrolled neuromuscular activity which results in the thorough elimination of parasites. Within 4 hours of administration, almost 99% of fleas are destroyed. On the other hand, ticks are eliminated within 8 hours.
