What is Nuheart?

Nuheart is a potent oral treatment formulated to protect dogs against heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria Immitis. The monthly treatment is effective against the tissue larval stage of heartworm and eliminates them before they develop into mature adults, preventing heartworm disease. These small-sized tablets facilitate easy administration as they can be given directly by mouth or dissolved in water.

How Does Nuheart Work?

Nuheart for dogs contains Ivermectin, a powerful antiparasitic compound that keeps heartworm larvae from developing into a mature adult. The oral treatment eliminates the tissue larval stage of heartworm and continues to do the same for the entire month.

Directions

  • Weigh your dog beforehand to know the right dosage.
  • Get your dog checked for existing heartworms before commencing the treatment.
  • Administer the tablet directly by mouth by placing it on the back of the dog's throat on top of the tongue and pushing it down the throat with your index finger.
  • You can also give it by dissolving the tablet in 5 & 7 ml of water or other fluid.
  • Administer one tablet monthly (preferably on or around the same date).
  • Ensure your dog takes the entire tablet; if the entire dose is not consumed, give another tablet.
