Equimec Plus Tape for Horses
Equimec Plus Tape is a multi-worm paste treatment, formulated with Ivermectin and Praziquantel for horses of all ages, including mares and stallions. This powerful oral treatment treats and controls all common internal parasites, including roundworms and tapeworms. It also controls Small Strongyles (benzimidazole-resistant bloodworms) and Large Strongyles (adult and arterial larval stages).
The low-dose formulation effectively safeguards against bots, lungworms, hairworms, pinworms, neck threadworms, and intestinal threadworms. It also aids in controlling skin lesions caused by summer sores (Draschia spp.cutaneous larvae), and Habronema. Equimec Plus Tape comes in a handy trigger applicator that dispenses an adequate amount of paste to ensure easy and accurate dosing. With regular use, it can diminish the chances of verminous arteritis and colic caused by S. vulgaris.
Directions
- Give Equimec Plus Paste orally
- Check the horse’s mouth to ensure that there’s no feed before administration
- Adjust the dose control knob to match the horse’s weight
- Insert the syringe into the side of the horse’s mouth, placing it in the gap between the front and the back teeth
- Push the plunger completely to deposit the dose on the rear of the tongue
- After administering, raise the horse’s head for a few seconds to let the entire dose be swallowed
Dosing:
- Give Equimec Plus at the recommended dose level of 1 ml/40kg of bodyweight.
- A single dose of 1 ml/40kg bodyweight dispenses 0.2 ml/kg of Ivermectin and 2.5mg/kg of Praziquantel.
- The contents of one syringe treats one horse of 1320 lbs (600kg) weight.
- Each weight marking at the syringe plunger delivers 2.5g of paste which is enough to treat 220 lbs(100kg) weight.

Safety
- Should not be administered less than 28 days before the scheduled slaughter for human consumption
- Should not be given to any animal intended to be slaughtered for human consumption
- Wash your hands properly after use to avoid exposure
- It can be irritating for the eyes and skin if contacted, so rinse with water promptly in case of contact with eyes and skin
- Avoid ingesting it, as it can be poisonous if swallowed
- Dispose of the packaging properly by wrapping it in paper and placing it in the garbage
